TYPE: Peru. Without specific localité, "cette espèce très distincte est originalre du Pérou, d'où elle a été introduite par L'Horticulture Internationale, à Bruxelles, il y a un an et demi environ, et elle a fleuri dans cet établissement pour la première fois au mois d'août 1891", Linden s.n.
